Your shift, step by step

1. Arrive at the station

Shifts usually start around 9:20 am at our station, 1825 N 5th Ave in Melrose Park. Check in with dispatch, pick up your handheld device and your route for the day, and do a quick safety check of your van.

2. Load up

Load your packages in route order so every stop is easy to find. Take your time: careful loading makes the rest of the day faster and safer.

3. Hit the road

Your handheld shows every turn and every stop. Drive safely, follow the route and stay aware of your surroundings. Safety always comes first.

4. Deliver

Deliver every package on time, to the customer’s preferred location, and handle each one with care. A friendly, courteous delivery is part of the job.

5. Wrap up

Return to the station, hand back your device, leave your van tidy and clean, and clock out. Shifts run 6 to 10 hours and usually finish by about 8 pm.
